New Blog Post — My Support of the Boycott of Dorchester Publishing
I’ve posted my support of the Dorchester boycott here.
So it looks like the expected release date for Thrall is March 28, 2011 – that’s only 10 days away! YAY!
I’ve updated my schedule of appearances for the year. Barring acts of God or alien abduction, I should be at those conventions and events listed on the Appearances page. I will also being doing a live chat with Jason Miller — details coming soon.
Regarding upcoming work, there’s not much I can formally announce, but what I can say is that Thrall should be out in about 2-3 weeks. My novella, Possessing Amy, should be out later this year — more news on that to follow. My article on “Mood and Atmosphere in Horror” is scheduled to appear in Many Genres One Craft this spring. There is also a possibility that Under Cover of Night, my short story collection from 2002, will be released in Kindle version, with a bonus story included. I’ll keep folks updated on that. I’m working on two other novellas and a novel, and have a few other projects in mind or in the works.
2011 is shaping up to be a very busy year.
So I have some free fiction up on the Nightmaries page of my website. Ok, so it’s not a new story (it’s a reprint of an old ghost story that appeard on Horror World once upon a time), but I suspect it’s new to a whole bunch of folks. So if you’re interested, check it out and let me know what you think! More new stuff this weekend.
I’m in the process of updating my website – this means the introduction of some new features and some new pages. There are now easier and more functional links to my books and where to buy them, my blog (A Writer’s Life) and a new, kinda fun misc page (Nightmaries). Currently, the blog is back-filled with old posts – reviews from Seton Hill, mostly. Nightmaries will be regularly updated with extras – pictures, art, trivia, story excerpts, contests and giveaways, video, whatever fiction fun I can think of, or that readers want to submit.
I also hope you’ll stop by the Keenedom and visit my forum, and the forums of some of my colleagues and friends. A lot of great discussion goes on there, as well as news and opportunities to chat with your favorite writers.
So feel free to visit the website regularly and check out the new bells and whistles. Let me know what you think!
Hey, folks. I’ve updated the links site to include my forum over at the Keenedom. Please feel free to stop by any time for news, chat, laughs, and a host of other great things going on with me and my fellow writers and some cool publishers in the biz.
A new interview with me has been posted at Little Miss Zombie’s site. Check it out here.
So, I’m told I should be receiving signature sheets soon for THRALL. YAY!! And I’ve seen the full dust jacket — it’s absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to see everything all done. I’m also told that the publication date is shaping up to be early- to mid-March. We’re only a few weeks away now!
Speaking of which, chicakdees, I understand that there are very few copies left to order. If you want to reserve your copy (no charge at all until the books are ready), go forth and may your orders be fruitful and multiply!
I just found out that THRILLERS: 100 MUST READS, in which I have an article on James Patterson’s ALONG CAME A SPIDER, received a nomination for the Edgar Award. I’m pretty excited, and keeping my fingers crossed for the book.
Just wanted to let folks know that reservations are going strong for THRALL and we’re down to the last few copies. If you want to reserve yours, go here.
Remember, credit card info isn’t taken for the reservation, so you won’t be charged anything until the books come in.
