Upcoming Coolness

A few announcements on upcoming things:

Fans of Jack Ketchum will want to check this space out come September 11th — I’m the 2nd stop on his blog tour promoting I’m Not Sam and I’ll be featuring a special guest blog post by him!  I’m delighted that he will be stopping by.  🙂

I understand the Thrall audiobook is on sale through Dark Realms for only $5.95 until September 2nd — now’s your time to pick one up at its low sales price!

Also, as my first foray into Kindle self-publishing, I have finished the ms for a new short story collection called A Darkling Plain.  The collection will feature 10 short stories spanning over a decade of my short fiction writing, including many hard-to-find and out-of-print stories and story notes at the end.  Once it’s up and running, I’ll post ordering details.

A short story of mine called “The Anathema Cell” should be appearing in chapbook form soon — details to follow.

Finally, for those interested in this sort of thing, I am a quarter of the way through a new novel.  I hope to be able to announce more about this soon.

THRALL Audiobook Available Now!

I just received confirmation that Thrall is now available as a CD audiobook through AudioRealms’ horror imprint, Dark Realms. It’s also available through Amazon for about $17 (free with Audible.com Free Trial Membership) and through iTunes.  It’s complete with a brand new shiny cover and everything!

Check out a sample of Chapter 1 to hear Chris Roman’s excellent narration and consider picking up a copy, if you’re so inclined.

New Giveaway!

UPDATE: A quick thank you to all who purchased copies of The Triumvirate — I really appreciate it.  Contest is, of course, now closed.  I apologize for the delay in announcing the winners — I’ll have a separate announcement on 6/13 proper with the list of names.  Good luck and thanks again to all!!!

To celebrate the release of the final installment of the Hollower Trilogy, I’m doing a giveaway!  From 5 p.m. today, June 1st, until 5 p.m. Friday, June 8th, everyone who buys a copy of THE TRIUMVIRATE Hard Rain edition and then leaves a comment on this post letting me know will be entered into a drawing to win one of 5 t-shirts, shown below.  All shirts are sized XL, and feature a portion of Thrall‘s beautiful cover art by Vincent Chong, as well as lettering on both the front and back.

Available and Upcoming Work 2012

*Updated

For those in need of a handy reference or curious about trying my work out, books of mine currently available (in varying quantities) are as follows:

I think filming for the short movie of “Goth & Crow” based on my short story of the same name should be starting toward the end of this year.  Details to follow.  Also, the short film of “Letting Go” is being worked on as well.

Thrall is currently available for Kindle for only $4.99. In about two months, the audio book will be available as well for $19.77 (pre-orders available now). Although there are no solid plans at present for a paperback version of this book, I’m looking into options.

For Emmy is currently available for Kindle. Hard cover versions are sold out, but I’ll have paperback copies on hand to sign and sell at upcoming conventions and appearances (please see Appearances page for details). Copies are limited.

My first two books, The Hollower and Found You, are available in limited edition, signed hard covers. There are very few of these left, but I understand a few copies do still remain. These are part of a set which will include The Triumvirate. There should be news sometime later this year regarding an audio book version of The Hollower.

The Triumvirate Supercell edition has shipped, completing the Hollower Trilogy. For those who already have the first two books and just want to read this new one, The Triumvirate will also be available as part of Thunderstorm Books’ Hard Rain Series, due to ship in the next two weeks or so.

I am currently working on a long story titled “Anathema,” which will be available as a chapbook later this year. Details to follow.  I am also working on a new novel which I think you’ll enjoy, and a rare non-supernatural short story as well.  Keeping busy.  It’s horror writer hands that are the devil’s playground…. 😉

News Regarding THE TRIUMVIRATE and THRALL

For those of you who already have The Hollower and Found You and are looking for a nice but economical edition of The Triumvirate to pick up, Thunderstorm Books is shipping copies of the Hard Rain edition at the end of this week.  There are a handful of the Collector Sets left as well, if you’re still interested in picking up the Hollower Trilogy books all together.  Paul G. will match the numbers in the set for you.  It may be a while before any of these three books appears in any other format, especially The Triumvirate, so I’d at least recommend picking up the Hard Rain version.

The audiobook version of Thrall has been completed and is the queue for release (I believe in June).  From the sampling of Chapter 1 I heard, it’s going to sound great.  Amazon is accepting pre-orders now at a nice discount for $19.77.

TRIUMVIRATE Now Shipping and Mo*Con Appearance Reminder

The Supercell version of The Triumvirate arrived in the mail today, and has begun shipping to customers. I understand there are a limited number left, and we anticipate they will sell out, so if you’re planning on grabbing a copy, I wouldn’t wait too long. If you’re holding off for the Hard Rain version, those should begin shipping, I believe, in another 2-4 weeks.  Ordering information for both versions should be available on the Thunderstorm website by Monday.

For those of you in Indiana, near Indiana, not near Indiana but with disposable travel income, or up for a good ol’ fashioned American road trip, I’ll be one of the Guests of Honor this weekend at Mo*Con.  In addition to copies of For Emmy that I will have on hand to sign, I will also have a very limited number of some rare/hard-to-find books and stories of mine.   So come on out if you can make it!  I’d love to see you.

What’s Available and What’s Coming Soon

For those in need of a handy reference or curious about trying my work out, books of mine currently available (in varying quantities) are as follows:

Thrall
is currently available for Kindle for only $4.99.  In about two months, the audio book will be available as well for $19.77, although I understand you can pre-order it through the imbedded link.  Although there are no solid plans at present for a paperback version of this book, I’m looking into options.

For Emmy
is currently available for Kindle.  Hard cover versions are sold out, but for those attending Mo*Con in two weeks, Necon in July, or Killercon in September, I’ll have paperback copies on hand to sign and sell.

The Triumvirate
will be available in June as the last installment of the Hollower Trilogy.  For those who already have the first two books and just want to read this new one, The Triumvirate will also be available as part of Thunderstorm Books’ Hard Rain Series.

HOLLOWER and FOUND YOU Almost Gone!

I just wanted to let folks know that Thunderstorm Books is down to single digit numbers of copies left in the Hollower Collectors’ Set (Supercell Series) copies of The Hollower and Found You.  If you want to pick up copies, now is the time.

Also, as a reminder, if you’re looking to pick up only the third book in the trilogy, The Triumvirate, it should be available late June/early July as a part of the Hard Rain series.  This book ties in Thrall and For Emmy, as well as wrapping up the Hollower stories and explaining a good deal of background about the Hollowers as well as a number of other monsters in Bloomwood County, NJ, both past and forthcoming.

FOUND YOU Available NOW From Thunderstorm Books!

The Hollower Trilogy continues!
The beautifully re-released signed hard cover of the trilogy’s second book, Found You, is in stock and now available through Thunderstorm Books’ Supercell Series. This edition is limited to 85 copies. Since these books were designed to be a complete set with cover art that creates one large, gorgeous piece of art, in purchasing this, you’re automatically reserved to purchase the new, never-before-published third book, The Triumvirate, in July, so you’re guaranteed a complete set! (Those who wish to purchase only The Triumvirate can do so as part of the Hard Rain series.)  If you purchased a copy of The Hollower already, please indicate the number on the book you received so that Thunderstorm can send you matching numbers.

If you liked the original Hollower series or if you’re interested in trying it for the first time, now is the time to get these books.  I understand there are only a dozen or so copies left of The Hollower, and they are expected to see fast.  They are the author’s preferred text versions, with incredible cover art by David Ho, and newly included author’s notes about each book.

New Keene, Gonzalez, SanGiovanni Bookstore

Just letting folks know that BK, JG Gonzalez and I opened a bookstore section at the York Emporium.  Basically, we want to 1) make available our books, including signed, limited editions, collector’s copies, lettereds, etc.; 2) Drive more traffic to the York Emporium, because Jim Lewin, its owner, has always been incredibly supportive of local authors; and 3) Get rid of the surplus of books that the three of us have.  Please consider checking out the store.
