New Novella in Collection Announced by Camelot Books
Camelot Books reports that the new novella collection, IS THERE A DEMON IN YOU?, should start shipping next week. The book contains the following novellas:
The Witching Tree by Brian Keene
Fan-favorite Levi Stoltzfus (the ex-Amish occult detective from Brian’s Ghost Walk and A Gathering of Crows) returns home to fact a very different sort of possession–one that will rock his faith to its core and challenge everything he believes.
Possessing Amy by Mary SanGiovanni
When police officer Liam McInnes answers a domestic disturbance call, he discovers a battered woman whose inner demons have given her a new kind of strength. But in order to free her of those demons, Liam will have to navigate the gray areas of evil, and face the desperation that comes with true possession of another.
Mr. Gray by Nate Southard
After years of terror and heartbreak, Ben Gregory confronts the demon that possessed him as a child, but how many innocents will suffer in order for him to get revenge?
Amber Alert by Wrath James White
All over Las Vegas, women are giving birth to monsters. While on a search for a missing child, Spencer Logan stumbles into a world of occult science, demonic pregnancies, and an angry young scientist intent on changing humanity’s genetic future.
This book includes cover art by Chad Savage, and end papers and interior art by Glenn Chadbourne. Page count: 303pp. Limited to 500 signed and numbered hardcover copies. Published price: $50.00
While the above stories may one day appear in digital or paperback form, this will not happen for at least two years from date of publication of the limited.
There will also be a lettered state, but the details are still being worked out.
Those ordering copies direct from Camelot Books will also receive a free chapette as follows (1 chapette per 1 book ordered):
“Fast Zombies Suck” by Brian Keene
“Baby Teeth” by Mary SanGiovanni
“The Devil Crashed In” by Nate Southard
“Tamara’s Last Exorcism” by Wrath James White
Chapettes are limited to 125 signed and numbered softcover copies.
Here’s how the chapettes work: Each order of a book will include a chapette with the shipment or paid-for copy, put in hold box. Please don’t ask for a particular chapette as they will be shipped one after the other as books are shipped or put in a hold box, while supplies last.
NOTE: Dealer copies will NOT include the chapette – the only way to get the chapette is to order direct from us.
Shipping charges:
$7.00 media mail in the US (this includes a delivery confirmation and insurance)
Priority International charges outside the US, and to you an idea, following are a few countries:
$32.55 – United Kingdom
$23.10 – Canada
$33.60 – Australia
Insurance is included.

FOR EMMY News
Reviews of my novella For Emmy have been pleasingly good – people really seem to be enjoying the book and I’m glad. A few highlights:
– I’ve made the Horror Mall’s August 2010 Bestseller List (the In-Stock books);
– Nick Cato referred to the book as “easily one of the best of 2011” and containing “more food for thought and downright eeriness than in just about all of the 60+ books (he’s) read so far this year”;
– Kevin Lucia’s SHROUD magazine review calls it “chilling, heartbreaking, and quietly terrifying” (potential spoilers);
– In his Dreadful Tales review, Column McKnight described it as “brilliant and terrifying…SanGiovanni’s masterpiece.”
If you’d like to pick up a copy, I understand there are about 20 copies left of the paperback, and even fewer left of the signed, limited edition hardcover, which features a bonus short story, “The Nurses of Haversham.” So if you’re going to get a copy, I’d suggest you don’t wait too long. 😉
Writer Guest of Honor at Mo*Con VII!
I am very proud to announce that I am one of the Writer Guests of Honor next year at Mo*Con VII: Cinco de Mayo. The convention, presented by the Indiana Horror Writers, is focused on conversations revolving around horror literature and spirituality, and will run from May 4th-6th, 2012, in Indianapolis, IN. Membership is capped at 100 people, so be sure to get in by signing up with the early bird ($50, deadline March 1st).
THRALL and FOR EMMY Updates
So, as of this past weekend at Horrorfind, the last remaining nine hard cover limited edition copies of Thrall sold out. Thanks to all of you who bought one — I hope you enjoy it! For those folks who missed getting one but would still like to buy the book, I have been told the e-book version will be available this month, and it’s my understanding that the audiobook version is close to being ready for release as well. The Works page will be updated with links as these versions become available.
A large number of soft cover copies of For Emmy sold this weekend as well (thanks, folks!), but you can still pick up a copy from Thunderstorm Books if you missed Horrorfind. Later this month, I believe both the signed, limited edition hard cover of this novella, featuring the bonus story, “The Nurses of Haversham,” and the e-book version will be available, as well.
Other projects are fast on the horizon: new novels and other fun stuff. Check here for updates. 🙂
