Horrorfind Weekend and FOR EMMY

I’ll be a Special Guest at the Horrorfind Weekend these next few days, and if you’re attending, I certainly hope you’ll come out and say hello!  I will have copies on hand of Thrall and For Emmy, as well as bookplates and promo posters for the upcoming film version of “Goth & Crow.”  In case you missed it before, my schedule, updated, is as follows:

Friday
9:00pm – 10:00pm: Women in Horror – Authors Kelli Owen(moderator), Mary SanGiovanni, J.F. Gonzalez, James A. Moore, and Lesley Conner discuss the history and contributions of women in literary horror, and their future roles. (Reading Room)

Saturday
11:00am – Noon: James A. Moore and Mary SanGiovanni (Reading Room)
5:30pm – 7:00pm: Author Q&A panel – Authors Tim Lebbon, Christopher Golden, James A. Moore, Brian Keene, J. F. Gonzalez, Kelli Owen, Mary SanGiovanni, Chet Williamson, and Thomas F. Monteleone answer your questions about anything in this no-holds-barred Q&A. (Outside – Rear Carport)

Also, I’ll be in the celebrity autograph room all weekend signing books at a table with Brian Keene and Kelli Owen.

Speaking of For Emmy, if you won’t be able to attend Horrorfind and would still like to pick up this novella, thunderstorm Books is now taking orders for the soft cover (the hard cover limited edition will be out soon — details to follow).  To pick up a copy of For Emmy, go here.

New Review of FOR EMMY

Dreadful Tales’ Colum McKnight was kind enough to review For Emmy and had some great things to say about it:

“This story is brilliant and terrifying…For Emmy is a SanGiovanni’s masterpiece….”

If you’re interested in checking out the entire review, visit Dreadful Tales and leave your two cents.

Writing Updates

A few quick updates:

1) If you want a good chuckle, check out an artistic interpretation of Thrall on Nightmaries, courtesy of Matt Blazi from Bamfer Productions.

2) The teaser promo poster for the short film version of “Goth & Crow,” due out 2012, is up on the Film Adaptations page, where you can get a little info about the story, and also in the post right below this one.

3) My new novella, For Emmy, part of Thunderstorm Books’ Elemental Series #10,  is debuting at Horrorfind, where I will have copies on hand for sale and signing. This book will be available in hard cover, which will also feature my short story, “The Nurses of Haversham,” or in trade paperback. Both are limited printings.

I will also have the last few remaining HC limited edition copies of Thrall with me – last chance to pick it up.

4) Writer’s block?  Check out Mark Arnzen’s Dark Promptings on gorelets.com, where he’s featuring various authors, including me, offering opening lines to help get your creative juices flowing.  Feel free to use any or all of them if they help you.

More book news coming up soon….
